The end of book one moved many characters off the playing field. At least the scenes that are visible to most of us. Don’t despair. They reappear in the Bardo to continue the fight for human development towards ultimate freedom. These are the ones who died in battle. For the survivors, their actions only brought more attention from the Authority. They are forced to hide amongst the Kindred community. Old characters continue to fulfil their destinies as foretold in poems by William Blake. New characters emerge to join the battle on either side of the war. Identities are obscured. Now, it actually makes sense to wear a mask. Protect your identity. Surveillance is ever present.
